I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern (IMF#61238) at Christian Counseling Center, San Jose. I'm excited about being a part of the CCC team because I believe that counseling should engage the whole person, including the spiritual and physical, as well as the mental and emotional. Working in this setting gives me great flexibility in seeing all types of clients and the freedom to talk about spiritual matters openly.

In addition to all the clinical counseling coursework that is required by for MFTs in grad school, I also completed rigorous training in biblical theology, enabling me to help clients integrate their spirituality into their every day lives.

As an intern, I have earned my MA, however, the state of California requires interns to complete 3,000 hours of training with real live clients before we can be licensed. You can verify my registration as an intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. During this time, I am under supervision with a licensed therapist. At CCC, my supervisor is Margaret Bennett Grieg, PhD, MFT (MFC#8634). Since I'm not licensed yet, my rates are very reasonable, making therapy more accessible to those who need it.

I believe that therapy is hard work,
but I also really enjoy a good
laugh! I think humor can be a very
useful tool in working out our
problems. So even though
counseling can be painful, I also
like to look for moments of fun
and laughter.

Besides individual and family
counseling, I am also available
for speaking engagements. I can
design topics for women's groups,
couples or family ministries,
MOPS groups and more. Call or
email to talk about the speaking needs for your next event or workshop.

I am an active member of a local Christian church and I have been
married for 5 years.
